Overview

The Magento Quick Newsletter Send Extension is a simple solution designed to offer store owners using the standard Magento newsletter extension the flexibility to send out their newsletters instantly.

While the standard (default) Magento newsletter extension activates a cron job and schedules the newsletter to be mailed out during at a designated time that is defined by the cron job setup on the server, the Magento Quick Newsletter Send Extension allows you to send the newsletter instantly, overriding the cron job setting. The newsletter can be sent with out having to wait for the cron job to execute.

With this extension, once the “newsletter” is started, you will get an option to send the newsletters instantly by simply selecting “Quick Send” in the newsletter queue. Once this is done, the Count will become the same as the Recipients count and the selection of the “Quick Send” for the second time will send/mail out the newsletter instantly and the status will be Changed to ‘Sent”.
