The Magento Shipping Filter by ZIP Code/City Extension store owners to define product shipping restrictions by Zip Codes and Cities. Unlike other shipping extensions that only set filters by country, this extension allows restrictions to be defined at a much deeper, location specific level.

This extension is suitable for stores that require to set more defined location restrictions due to the products they sell, or the various limitations international restrictions, laws, warranty issues, manufacturer policies and restrictions, product size and delivery feasibility.

After installing the Magento Shipping Filter - Zipcode/City Extension, we can set details for Shipping Filter - Zipcode/City module through backend. Through backend, you can set the details for the Magento Shipping Filter by ZIP Code/City Extension/Module.

Go to System-> Configuration-> Shipping Settings-> Shipping Restrictions.

There are three fields ‘Enable Shipping Restrictions’, ‘Based On’ & 'Data'. You can set these values as per your requirements.

Based On: The shipping is restricted either by ZIP/Post Code or City. If you select the ‘Post Code’, enter the allowed postcodes in Data the field, each one is separated by comma and if you select the ‘City’, enter allowed cities in the Data field, each one is separated by comma.

If the shipping restriction is enabled through Magento Backend, at the time of checkout, while selecting the shipping address, it will allow to the shipment of the items to the selected postcodes or cities only. Otherwise it shows a warning message the shopper telling them that they are not able to have the item they are trying to purchase shipped to that location.
